1. Introduction
Welcome to InkSync Pro. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Because our application is designed as a local-first utility, your data remains in your control.
2. Data Collection & Processing
InkSync Pro does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our servers.
All file processing, conversions, and image analyses happen entirely locally directly on your iOS device. We do not have access to your comic files, reading habits, or library metadata.
Account & Data Deletion: InkSync Pro is a local-first utility. Since we do not use user accounts or cloud servers, all your libraries, notes, annotations, and transcripts are stored solely in your sandboxed device storage. You can instantly wipe all of your data at any time by simply deleting the application from your iOS device, or by utilizing the built-in storage cleanup tools in Settings.
3. Third-Party Services
While the app operates locally, you may choose to interact with the following third-party services from within the app:
- ComicVine API: Used strictly when you explicitly request metadata (issue descriptions, volume details) for a comic. Your search queries are sent directly to ComicVine.
- iCloud: Used if you choose to export files to your iCloud Drive or rely on iCloud device backups. This is governed by Apple's privacy policies.
- Dropbox API: If you choose to link your Dropbox account, the app communicates directly with Dropbox via PKCE OAuth to download and sync your selected comic files. Your credentials and files are processed securely and locally on your device.
4. Permissions Used
To provide its functionality, the app requests the following local device permissions:
- FaceID / TouchID: Used exclusively to unlock the 'Private Vault' feature locally. Biometric data never leaves your device's Secure Enclave.
- Local Network Access: Required only to establish a direct connection between your phone and your e-reader for Wi-Fi file transfers.
- Microphone & Speech Recognition: Used exclusively to translate speech into text dictations within the Study Notebook. Voice data is processed locally on-device and is never stored or transmitted to external servers.
